FREE Starbucks Coffee: 2 for the price of none!

extreme couponing canada

It was my mom’s birthday recently, so she received a free drink mailout coupon from Starbucks and we decided to use it today on our shopping trip. She’s not as familiar with Starbucks as I am, so I ordered one of my favorites for her to try, a light white chocolate mocha frappuccino (yum!).

The cashier restated my order to me correctly but the barista who mixed it accidentally made my drink a regular frap instead of the light version that I ordered. I asked about it, she apologized and quickly started on the light version. When she finished, she very nicely asked if I had someone to give the extra drink to and I happily said yes! So we left with two venti white chocolate frappuccinos for free.

I’ve gotten Starbucks drinks for free before on similar occasions, usually when someone orders a drink and but fails to pick it up, or the barista makes it incorrectly and offers it to someone standing in that area if the customer does not want it. Hmm, I seem to always be in the right place at the right time when it comes to Starbucks.

So if this happens to you, don’t be afraid to speak up. Ask the barista if you can have the extra drink. It’s worth a shot, because otherwise they just throw out the drink. I know that your luck may differ between locations and baristas depending on policy, but more times than not, you’re going to end up with a free coffee for a friend!

Extreme couponing canada principles can be applied to just about any store. It never hurts to ask!

  1. I’ve had a bad drink (a drink that I had for the first time)or a drink that was badly/incorrectly made and I already speak up and most of the time they just dump the “bad” one, but sometimes they let you keep it. Starbucks has really great customer service, I love them.

      Hey Justine,
I hate when I see that happen, most times when I’ve asked I’ve been able to keep both drinks. I think it helps when you’re with someone else so it doesn’t just look like you’re having 2 drinks to yourself, and of course if the barista is having a good day :P

      • I like the helpful information you supply in your articles. I’ll bookmark your blog and check once more here often. I’m quite sure I’ll learn a great deal of new stuff correct here! Best of luck for the next!

  2. Meant “always” not already” but ya you get what I am saying. It doesn’t hurt to ask, sometimes they roll their eyes, but if it’s a $5-6 coffee and I don’t like it, I will say something. :)

  3. Thank you! It is a very young, new site at the moment and I have big plans for it. Please check back often for new prtodcus and eventually an updated design!
