Operation Christmas Donation 2011 – 21 Boxes of Cereal for $21

extreme couponing canada

Here’s the latest addition to Operation Christmas Donation 2011 thanks to a tip from a reader. I was able to pick up some $3 off WUB 3 Kellogg’s cereals coupons from the coupon zone at  my local Superstore (valid at any Loblaw’s store). I took those coupons over to No Frills and had no problem using them for the $2 sale!

Fantastic deal for cereal and exactly the kind of deal I was looking for to round out my items purchased so far. If only I picked up one more box of corn flakes instead of Raisin Bran to even out the cereal tower. Instead I got some help from the Glade plugin single I found on clearance the other day at Rexall :)

Here’s the breakdown:

11 x Raisin Bran Cereal $2 – (4) $3 WUB 3 Kellogg’s coupon zone = $1 each
10 x Corn Flakes Cereal $2 – (3) $3 WUB 3 Kellogg’s coupon zone = $1 each

Subtotal: $42
Coupons used: $21
Total paid: $21

Operation Christmas Donation 2011:

Retail value of goods: $98.49 (was $66.78, edited to reflect regular shelf price found during dec 8 No Frlls trip)
Total paid: $21
Budget left to spend: $53.89
Total value of goods purchased so far: $389.56

  1. This is such a great idea and I’ve followed your lead. Used coupons and the Zellers $10 off $40 purchase to shop for our local food drive which is happening this weekend. Used my savings and more coupons to finish shopping for my donation at the grocery store. Thank you again for the inspiration!

  2. hi thank you for the post :)
I would like to know how does it work I don’t get it…
can you save at any shop? can you use more than one coupon for an item?
    thank you ! :)

Whoops, sorry for the late reply ladies. Spam filter has been acting up lately.

That is so wonderful Bonnie! It feels fantastic to give when you know you’re getting so much for your money!

Sanouma – you can use the coupons from the coupon zone at select stores like Extra Foods, Superstore and Zehrs at any Loblaws owned store.

For manufacturer coupons, you can use more than one coupon per item as long as it doesn’t have restrictions like one per person, customer or transaction.

Coupon zone coupons do say one per family or customer account on the back, but its more of a grey area as many cashiers allow you to use one coupon per item
