Operation Christmas Donation 2011 – 86 Cans of Campbell’s Soup for FREE!
The second shopping trip for Operation Christmas Donation went exactly as planned and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! 86 cans of campbell’s condensed soup absolutely free!
I’ve been scouring the city looking for these Buy 2, save $1 coupons knowing I’d be able to add cheap soup to the donation but today everything just fell into place. The sales and coupons must be on my side!
DBF stopped into a local grocery store and happened to see 2 different kinds of Campbell’s tearpads out on the shelves! Unfortunately there were very few coupons left so he asked a stock boy if they happened to have anymore as we were looking to use them for a food bank donation and low and behold the stock boy came out from the back with 2 nearly full tearpads!!
We hopped over to Save on Foods for the last day of the soup sale and were able to pick up 86 cans for free! No shelves were cleared as they had tons of stock and we got a variety of types as there are 4 different low fat condensed soups to choose from. The cashier and manager were also wonderful. We split the transaction into two, one of which we added a few misc produce items so I’ve included a photo of our zero balance receipt below.
