Extreme Couponing Canada: Zellers Shopping, spent $7.52 + earned $5 in HBC points

extreme couponing canada

I did two transactions this weekend at Zellers using the Facebook coupon for $10 off when you spend $50 or more. I also used coupons to bring that total down even more and ended up getting great deals! In case anyone is wondering, all these toothpaste FPC’s come from my Dentist who gets tons of coupons to her office and gives me small handfuls each time I come. Next time you visit your Dentist’s office, ask for coupons as they usually get lots in from reps.

All my toothpaste from the last shopping trip here has been given away already, and I’m also trying to stock up for Xmas donations!

Here are the breakdowns:

Transaction #1

10x Crest Prohealth Toothpaste $2.99 – (10) FPC’s from the Dentist = FREE
2 x Always liners $3.33 – (1) $0.75 coupon from brandsaver.ca = $5.91 for both
Always infiniti $3.33 – $1 coupon from brandsaver.ca = $2.33
2 x Fleecy fabric softener $1.99
2 x Pulsar toothbrush $4- (2) $3 coupons from brandsaver flyer = $1 each
Stouffers bistro $4.49 – FPC from stouffers promo = FREE

Subtotal: $56.36
SPC discount: $5.64
Taxes: $4.97
Coupons used: $10 Facebook coupon + $42.14
Total paid: $3.55 + 3000 HBC points earned

Transaction #2

9 x Crest Prohealth toothpaste $2.99 – (8) FPC’s from dentist= $2.99 (Cashier charged one extra by accident, didn’t notice until later)
3 x Febreze bonus packs $3.79 – (2) $1 coupons from brandsaver = $9.37 for all 3
2 x Dozen Eggs $2.59
2 x Always liners $3.33
2 x Stouffers bistro $4.49 – (2) FPCS from stouffers promo = FREE

Subtotal: $59.10
SPC discount: $5.92 + $5.31 (cashier put in discount twice by accident, but didn’t know how to take one out so she said it was fine, works for me!)
Taxes: $3.99
Coupons used: $10 Facebook coupon + $34.90 coupons
Total paid: $3.97 + 33,000 HBC points

The two mistakes in this transaction offset each other a bit, but I still ended up saving $2 more because of the SPC discount error.

Extreme Couponing Canada Breakdown:

Total without coupons: $124.42
Total Coupon + SPC savings: $116.90
Total paid: $7.52! + 36,000 HBC points earned = almost $5 in Zellers gift cards!
94% coupon + SPC savings based on sale prices
96% based on regular prices

  1. Good Job!! I’m trying, but still find I’m spending too much :( Where did you get the $10 coupon on Facebook?

Sometimes great deals like this come along Shannon. Just be patient and keep signing up and collecting as many coupons as you can :)

The $10 coupon was a 2 days special coupon on the Zellers Facebook fanpage.

  2. Great points altogether, you just received a new reader. What would you suggest in regards to your put up that you just made a few days in the past? Any sure?
